Mack Memo ~ Parent Newsletter
Dear Mack Families,

We are starting off our week with some school spirit, and calling it Mack Monday! We are encouraging our students, faculty, and staff to wear their BCS and/or Mack T-shirts or sweatshirts. We will be having class competitions this week and the class that has the highest percentage of participants will receive an extra recess with Mrs. Smith. Our goal is to start the week off with some fun and show how much we love Mack Elementary.
6 & 20

As a reminder, school dismisses at 12:55pm tomorrow and in two weeks, on 10/20. There is no PM preschool on early release days.
Mud & Masks

The warm sunny days have been wonderful and such a blessing. However, cold, rainy days are also part of our fall weather here in the Northwest.

Please remind your students to be prepared with appropriate clothing, extra clothing (for those wet & muddy days) and pack an extra mask in case it gets lost or wet.
Pledge of Allegiance

Routines and rhythms are staring to take their place in the classroom and starting today, we have added another routine that will happen each Monday. Students (K-6) will begin their day reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

A student from the 5th or 6th grade class will be selected each week to lead in the school wide salute.

Mack Elementary has been the most consistent supporter and largest donor to Maltby Food Bank in recent years. What a blessing it is to be able to support this Christian organization and our community in this way!

Beginning this Tuesday, students will have the wonderful opportunity to tithe at chapel each week and are encouraged to bring a food item each Tuesday. These donations are delivered to Maltby Food Bank each week.

Here are some suggested items that are currently in need:

Toilet paper, paper towels, lotion, chap stick, oil, olives, jelly/jam, egg noodles, granola bars, canned diced green chilis, taco shells, clam chowder, soup.

Thank you for helping us continue this tradition of giving.

Our preschoolers are busy learning science with some of God's beautiful creations.

Some ways that our Pre-K students in Mrs. Kaskes' class have been exploring science has been experimenting with water drops on Nasturtium leaves.

They are also participating in fine motor activities in Mrs. Wasson's class that are essential to developing strength and stability which are needed to control a pencil or a pair of scissors

As a reminder:
