Chamber backs "Good Jobs for Michigan" legislation

The Macomb County Chamber of Commerce and its hundreds of members throughout the county threw their support behind the  Good Jobs for Michigan  coalition and legislation designed to grow more good-paying jobs statewide and not be left on the sidelines behind other states like Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and South Carolina. Transnation holds open house

"Welcome to the Chamber" to our new member Transnation Title Agency Shelby! They held an open house in Shelby Township on May 2 and invited the Chamber staff and ambassadors to attend.

Make Macomb Your Home launches Day Camp Fun

Make Macomb Your Home now offers a comprehensive database of day camp information.  The resource contains a week-by-week listing (starting the week of June 12) of available day camps for children 6 to 17 years old, boasting a variety of themes such as career exploration, special needs and nature lovers. The database lists the dates and times, activities and locations of the camps.  To view the database, visit
Mother's Day Seed Planting at Great Lakes Ace Hardware

All 11 Macomb County Great Lakes Ace Hardware locations will be hosting a Mother's Day Seed planting event F riday, May 12 from 4pm - 7pm and Saturday, May 13 from 11am - 2pm. All supplies will be provided. Limit one plant per child. Visit for more information and to find your closest location. 
Meet Your Best Friend at the Zoo May 19-20

The Detroit Zoo and Michigan Humane Society, in collaboration with more than 40 local animal welfare organizations, will host the spring 2017 Meet Your Best Friend at the Zoo Friday, May 19, 1 to 7 p.m., and Saturday, May 20, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hundreds of dogs, cats, puppies and kittens will be available for immediate adoption to loving homes at one of the nation's largest off-site companion animal adoption events. 
CARE for a Taste

Join CARE of Southeastern Michigan and Michigan's most notable restaurants at CARE for a Taste, an evening to celebrate 40 years of service on June 20 at the General Motors Heritage Center in Sterling Heights.
