Macomb Bicentennial Torch Relay 
Mount Clemens Fireworks 
The threat of rain couldn't hold back the Macomb County Bicentennial Torch Relay nor the Mount Clemens Independence Day Fireworks which lit up the night on June 22. The combined events symbolized the county's past 200 years of accomplishments and growth being handed off to the area's foundation for the future. Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel said " "I think this will help give a better appreciation and understanding of this place we call home. Some people have not fully explored all of our 27 communities and all of the riches that we have to offer here."

 Welcome Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant
 First Michigan Location Opens at Partridge Creek 

New to the region, Illinois-based Cooper's Hawk opened it's doors at their Ribbon Cutting and VIP Grand Opening on June 23. The upscale restaurant with a focus on wine and  designed with a new modern, yet welcoming and comfortable space specifically for its Partridge Creek location, which will be the perfect gathering space whether you're there to dine or taste new wines.  
  Cosworth Opens Plant in Shelby Township
  $50 Million, 60,000-square-foot facility to employ about 130 workers 

On Monday, June 25, British automotive engineering company Cosworth opened its new production plant in Shelby Township. The plant is the company's first in Michigan and will serve as its North American headquarters.  Its neighbors include JVIS USA LLC, Epic Equipment and Engineering and the recently opened Grupo Antolin.

  New $61.5 million dollar facility in Macomb County 

Grupo Antolin, one of the largest manufacturers of vehicle interiors in the world, celebrated the opening of its new factory in Shelby Township.  The new 368,000 square-foot facility houses high-tech manufacturing equipment to produce and sequence door panels and overhead systems for FCA's Dodge Ram truck, one of the most popular vehicles in the US.
  Pine Crest Estates Ribbon Cutting & Grand Opening
On Saturday, June 16 Pine Crest Estates opened their doors to guests at their location in Chesterfield Township, Michigan. This new manufactured home community for those 55 years of age and older is the first of its kind in Macomb County. For more information, visit
