Sun Shines on   Golf Outing 
Chamber Members were treated to a beautiful 80 degree day of golf and networking on Monday, June 11 at Sycamore Hill Golf Club in Macomb Twp. Golfers and were treated to a golf clinic with PGA professionals, a gold swing posture assessment, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks & beverages, as well as raffle prizes, a 50/50 drawing and the chance to win prizes at individual holes. First place awards were also given to team with the lowest scores (RCO Engineering with 60). Thank you to all who came out and made the outing a great success, we hope to see you all once again next year! Check out more photos of the day here.

WXYZ : Getting Around Metro Detroit Town Hall
June 19th at 7 PM

"Getting Around Metro Detroit" will allow you to ask Metro Detroit leaders questions about any obstacles, proposals or ideas surrounding transportation in our area. Some examples might include potholes, construction, mass transit, gas prices or car insurance. It will also give you the opportunity to hear what others in your community have to say on the subject and for you to offer your own thoughts and opinions. The intimate event will be held at Plato's Coney Island in Warren and is INVITE ONLY, RSVP's are required. Please send your name to

Families Against Narcotics Run Drugs Out of Town 5K Run/Walk Event to Bring in Record Attendance
June 16 at 9 A.M.
Families Against Narcotics (FAN) is hosting their annual Run Drugs Out of Town 5K Run/ Walk event at Fraser High School, 34270 Garfield Rd, Fraser. 8 am registration with a 9 am event start time.  Walk-up registration will also be available at 8 am. The Run/Walk is the single largest fundraiser for their organization and helps to sustain their efforts throughout the year. All proceeds benefit their continuing efforts to educate communities throughout Michigan on the epidemic of prescription painkiller addiction and its potential to lead some to heroin use. This will be their biggest event to date with 103 teams currently registered and an estimated 2800 participants expected to attend.

Pine Crest Estates To Host Grand Opening And Ribbon Cutting Celebration
June 16th at 11 A.M.

Pine Crest Estates, Macomb County's first manufactured home community for those 55 years of age and older, announced today that it will host a grand opening celebration from 11am to 3pm on Saturday, June 16. The Macomb County Chamber of Commerce will join the community's management team for an official ribbon cutting ceremony at noon. The event is free to the public and will feature tours of available homes.  To celebrate its opening, Pine Crest Estates is offering $5,000 off the purchase of a new home or $100 off monthly rent for the first year for those who sign a 2-year lease on one of the community's new 3-bedroom ranch style homes by July 31, 2018. 

Bootlegger Balls

The Bootlegger Ball is a 1920s prohibition themed party with classic cocktails, swinging tunes, and fabulous fare. Come as a flapper, or come as you are, dress as a gangster or a silent movie star. There will be a costume contest with prizes.Cocktails will be served in coffee cups just as they would have done during the prohibition. There will be an exhibit of memorabilia from the prohibition era on display in the balcony mezzanine area of the theatre. A special appearance will be made by Mount Clemens own Mae McKenna.
