I-696 Freeway Reconstruction Project 

Last Thursday morning in Warren, along with MDOT and the Sterling Heights Chamber, sponsored an informational meeting about the reconstruction of the Interstate 696. This discussion included replacing all pavement on both side from I-75 to I-94, Clsoing the westbound direction completely while keeping eastbound open throughout construction, and night & weekend repairs on both sides of I-275 to I-75.

Anton Art Center Announces $19,090 in second round of Minigrant Awards to Oakland and Macomb County Organizations

The Anton Art Center, Region 10A Regranting Agency for the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs (MCACA) servicing Macomb and Oakland counties, has awarded $19,090 to ten Oakland and Macomb County organizations and individual artists through the MCACA Minigrant program.Between the first and second rounds more than $101,000 in grant funds were requested with project budgets totaling more than $340,000. MCACA made $44,000 available to the Region for regranting through the two rounds of funding. 
Meet General Alexander Macomb at Lorenzo Cultural Center's Making Macomb: A Journey Through 200 Years

Experience Macomb County's namesake, General Alexander Macomb, during Making Macomb: A Journey Through 200 Years, at the Lorenzo Cultural Center on Macomb Community College's Center Campus in Clinton Township. The presentation, coupled with personal artifacts and interpretative panels in cultural center's Discovery Hall, will provide a comprehensive view  of the county's most recognizable hero.
Testing autonomous vehicles focus of Macomb Community College's 2018 Center for Advanced Automotive Technology Conference

April 20 from 8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Testing Tomorrow's Autonomous Vehicles Today will be  the focus of Macomb Community College's  2018 Center for Advanced Automotive Technology (CAAT) Conference , Friday, April 20, from 8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. on the college's South Campus in Warren.  Speakers will provide perspective on how automakers are looking at the future of mobility and testing autonomous vehicles for endless possible driving scenarios. How technical training will need to adapt to meet changing demands will also be addressed.
