Appreciating Lake St. Clair

Community leaders took to the lake on Wednesday, July 26, for the Macomb County Chamber's ninth annual Lake St. Clair Appreciation Day.

This invitation-only event was designed to educate and engage lawmakers, area business leaders and other interested parties on Lake St. Clair's vitality and impact as a tourism destination, lifestyle epicenter and economic engine for Macomb County. Read more here.
Macomb Chamber presents at National Chamber Conference

Bill Brey, our Directory of Membership Services, recently attended the American Chamber Certified Executives (ACCE) Conference in Nashville, Tenn., where 1,500 Chambers from all over the world met.  He had the opportunity to present information to about 350 first-time attendees to encourage and lead them in their networking and information gathering during the conference.  
Cabela's Chesterfield Opens!

The first Cabela's in metro Detroit, and the fourth store in Michigan, opens today in Chesterfield Township. The store, near I-94 and 
Hall road, will offer customers an immersive outdoor experience with themes and designs based on Michigan's outdoors.

LEADS Group Success

Macomb Chamber L.E.A.D.S (Learn.Expand.Associate.Develop.Succeed) groups are diverse groups of people to and from whom you effectively give and get worthwhile leads.  Our Chesterfield LEADS Group is growing and finding continual success!  

New member, Josh Hossler, Lead Pastor of Evident Church joined the group and through connections gained at the meetings was able to find a new home for his congregation.  L.E.A.D.S members were able to connect him with a real estate agent to find the location and a an engineer to perform the site visit, and a financial planner to help it all come together!  

There are currently several thriving Macomb Chamber L.E.A.D.S groups available for Chamber members to join for FREE! Each group is limited to one person per industry. Contact Dave Gier or Bill Brey  for more information on L.E.A.D.S., or share your L.E.A.D.S. success story with us!
Barclay PT hosts Back Pain event

Learn tips and strategies to strengthen  your back, prevent injury, and manage back pain. Event includes refreshments, free screenings, and a free fruit infuser water bottle for all participants. 7th Annual Sportsmen's Wild Game Dinner

The Italian American Cultural Society Banquet Center is hosting this year's wild game dinner event to honor State Representative Peter J. Lucido on Sept. 14.  Tickets are available at (586) 228-3030 and include hors d'oeuvres at 5:30 and dinner at 6:30 and a premium bar.

Volunteer to support the Selfridge Airshow and Open House VIP area

The Macomb Foundation is currently looking for volunteers to act as a concierge in the VIP and Chalet areas of the Air Show. Volunteers should be at least 18 years old and be available to be at the Air Show Saturday or Sunday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.  Contact Penny at the Chamber for details and to sign up at (586)493-7600.
