Two dump sites opening for yard debris, trees

Yard & Tree Debris

Macon-Bibb County will allow people to dump any yard and tree debris at two of its Convenience Centers, 4214 Fulton Mill Road and 1010 11th Street. The debris can be dropped off free of charge starting Friday, September 27 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Both centers are scheduled to be open every day this weekend and next week.


Trash / Recycling Collection

Ryland Environmental is suspending trash and recycling pick up for Macon-Bibb County for Friday, September 27. Those routes will be run on Monday, making all routes a day behind starting September 30. So Monday routes will be run on Tuesday, Tuesday on Wednesday, and so on. Friday, October 4 routes will be run on Saturday, October 5.

Macon-Bibb County is still under a Tropical Storm Warning. To report downed trees and other damage, call 833-535-4362 or use the MBCAlert Mobile app.

EMA Preparedness Fair to be Rescheduled

The Emergency Management Agency Preparedness Fair originally scheduled for Saturday, September 28 is going to be rescheduled for a future date. That date has not yet been selected.
