Upgrades to the ID23-2 Macromolecular Crystallography Beamline at ESRF
In a paper at the Journal of Synchrotron Radiation, Nanao, et al., discusses upgrades to the ID23-2 macromolecular crystallography fixed-energy (14.2 keV) microfocus beamline at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF).  These upgrades provide for an improved sample environment as well as automatic data reduction and analysis. In addition, they will allow for "more advanced protocols such as synchrotron serial crystallographic experiments."
Did You Know We Offer Uni-pucks?
Did you know we offer Uni-pucks the leading system for remote data collection at numerous beamlines around the world? The Uni-pucks available from MiTeGen are made in America by the longest established puck producer in crystallography. Not only do we offer Uni-pucks, but we also offer all the tools and accessories associated with them.
IUCrJ Launches Electron Crystallography Section
As announced in the March 2022 edition of the IUCrJ, an Electron Crystallography section has been added. Its aim is to attract articles reporting important electron crystallography results and breakthroughs.
Cryo-EM Vitrification Starter Kit
Finding the right vitrification conditions is essential for the best samples in Cryo-EM.

Now you can easily find the best match for optimal vitrification. The Cryo-EM V-Kit that offers both a selection of surfactants, which have been successfully applied in cryo-EM sample preparation, and a selection of Quantifoil Holey Carbon Films to facilitate finding the optimal conditions for both soluble and membrane proteins.
Upcoming Events
At MiTeGen, we sponsor numerous events, conferences, workshops and symposiums throughout the year. These events include fields such as structural biology, crystallography, cryo-EM, beamline research and more. We believe in supporting researchers and our industry. Listed below are two upcoming events you might find interesting.
The Biostruct Africa workshop is April 25th to 28th. Provides hands-on training in structural biology for sustainable development in Africa. Includes X-ray crystallographic and cryo-EM remote data collection and structural determination. We are sponsoring this workshop.
The ACA annual meeting is July 29th to August 3rd. Format is in person (Portland, Oregon) and virtual. Features talks, workshops, vendor exhibition and more. We are exhibiting at and sponsoring the annual meeting. If you are attending, stop by and visit us.
