Thanks for celebrating my Shopiversary with me last weekend! I am grateful for all of you. All of your kind words really mean a lot to me! Congratulations to Kathy, Karol, and Rachael for winning the daily raffle drawings.
And a huge thanks to Heather Wiebe of Smirligans for spending her Sunday with us and showcasing her beautiful hand-dyed yarns. You don't want to miss her newest colorways: Costa Hummingbird, Green Heron, Spotted Towhee, and Vermont Forests.
Tomorrow, Monday October 12th is Indigenous Peoples Day. I want to acknowledge that Cambria, CA (and Ball & Skein & More) is located on the traditional and unceded ancestral homelands of the Northern Chumash Tribe, whose traditional territory along the Central Coast extends north to Ragged Point, south to the Santa Maria River, east toward the Carrizo Plain, and west into the Pacific Ocean.
The sheep shearing field trip to Vineyard Valais is this Wednesday October 14th and is SOLD OUT! In order for shop employees and ME to attend, the shop will be opening 1 hour late on Wednesday 10/14 @ 12PM! I intend to host another Sheep Shearing Event next Spring!
The Math for Knitters Level 1 Zoom Class meets next Saturday, Oct 17th from 9 - 11AM and there's lots of space left. Kate Atherley is a stitching genius! This class focuses on everything you need to know to figure out all those tricky numbers puzzles you encounter in your knitting!
