MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

February 23, 2026

How many pounds of chicken are processed in Delaware each year? How many bottles, cans, or kegs of beer are brewed? Did you know that millions of babies across North America use baby wipes made right here in Delaware? Are you familiar with a gene-editing tool for student training or a device that opens narrowed or blocked heart arteries?

Every year, we host a bracket-style competition inviting the public to select the Coolest Thing Made in Delaware. This year's competition features 42 products from 37 companies across the state, showcasing the depth and diversity of our manufacturing sector. We’ll announce this year’s winner at our Spring Manufacturing and Policy Conference on March 26, and we hope you’ll join the fun by casting your vote here. You can vote for as many products as you'd like once a day until this Thursday.

At the conference, we will also hear from Governor Matt Meyer (invited) and Jasmine Yu, chief investment officer at Bryn Mawr Trust, about current market conditions and the investment strategies businesses, including manufacturers, are navigating today. The event will also feature a fireside chat between me and local manufacturers who are investing in upskilling and internal training programs that equip employees with the skills needed to succeed, enhance productivity, develop future-ready talent, and sustain long-term growth.

Manufacturing is thriving and expanding here in the First State. Register for the conference to learn more about the many "cool" things made here and much more.
