May 2018
Continuing the U.S. Bishops' work of promoting and defending marriage.
Made for Love Podcast
The April episodes of "Made for Love" were on the topics of Infertility and Complementarity (Man and Woman: Not Two Halves, but Two Wholes)

There are extra features to the show notes on the blog, including clips from MUR videos and interviews.

In May, we will have Bishops talking about their moms for Mother's Day, and an episode about Sports and Family Life .

If you listen through iTunes ( USCCB Clips ), it would help a lot if you would leave a review!
First Amendment Defense Act
The USCCB supports the First Amendment Defense Act (FADA) in Congress. This act has been introduced a number of times in both houses; in 2018, it was introduced in the Senate by Senator Mike Lee (R-UT).

On April 13, 2018, the Chairman of the Committee on Religious Liberty, Archbishop Kurtz of the Diocese of Louisville, wrote an Op-ed about FADA for the local paper.
Resource page
The resource page at MUR is full of good stuff: resources for parish leaders or teachers that go along with our videos, and books for further reading on marriage (theology, philosophy, sociology, law, literature).
Legal Updates
On April 13, 2018, a federal court in Washington ruled that “transgender” persons are entitled to “the fullest protection of the Constitution against discrimination” with regard to individuals serving in the military.

On April 25, 2018, multiple test cases on "LGBT discrimination" were heard by the MS Supreme Court. One is the case of a "transgender" student who seeks access to the bathrooms and locker rooms of the opposite sex. The other is a "gay" man and a woman who allege sex discrimination at their place of employment based on "sex stereotypes."
