Habitat for Humanity Niagara will save at least $57,000 in development charge payments on land to be used for its next affordable housing build in Welland.
Declared surplus earlier this year, the city-owned, 0.16-hectare site on the southeast corner of First Street and Plymouth Road was sold to Habitat Niagara, an agency that helps build affordable housing and promotes home ownership as a means to break the cycle of poverty.
