Alumni & Friends Mnemonic, 6th ed.
Welcome to the Spring 2020 edition of the Madeira Schools Foundation newsletter! Our mission is to share district and Alumni news, connect Alumni and share resources to the most up-to-date information about your Madeira Schools Foundation.
Thank you from The Madeira Schools Foundation President
Hello Madeira:
I hope everyone is safe and healthy as we continue through the challenges of COVID 19. As you may know, the Madeira Schools Foundation held its annual auction on March 7 narrowly avoiding the national lockdown that was just around the corner.  There is no doubt that we ‘threaded the needle’ and our 2020 auction is now on the books as one of our best ever!

The success of our auction would have not been possible without the support of our sponsors throughout the community.  Please visit our full list of our sponsors on the MSF website so you can help support these businesses throughout the year.  A special thanks to the McNally and Benintendi families for donating exciting experiences that help us stay connected to Andrew and Caty, the winners were absolutely elated to say the least!   In addition, thank you to all the Madeira residents who attended the auction and were able to bid on some great items to help raise funds that will benefit our schools for years to come. Also, a special thanks to the teachers and staff from all three schools who volunteered at the auction and helped make the event fun, organized, and successful.

And finally, thank you to Mindi Hilgeman and all the Madeira Schools Foundation Trustees for their hard work ALL year to make our auction a big success.  Your hard work translates directly to the ongoing strength of our schools and our community.
THANK YOU EVERYONE!

Stay safe,
Tim Farrell

Over $120,000 Raised at the Annual Auction!
The 35th annual  Madeira Schools Foundation auction  held on Saturday, March 7, raised over  $120,000  to support Madeira schools programs and classroom materials from new technology and arts and athletic enhancements to educational experiences like our annual Day of Service. We thank everyone who came out to support these efforts this year and make it the most successful auction event yet!

A Special Thank You to our Trustees
Each year, approximately 30 volunteer trustees commit their time, talents and treasure to raising funds for the Madeira City Schools. Their work is a labor of love to benefit the students, staff, administrators and families in the district. These volunteers review student scholarship applications, plan and execute the annual auction, golf outing, Bourbon Tasting and many other events, bringing together the parents, friends and community of Madeira City Schools. We thank those that are leaving the board, having dedicated 3+ years to helping to make our district the VERY best.

Many Ways to Give!

*Get more back at tax time by making your donation to the Madeira Schools Foundation by December 31!

Consider your city schools in your annual giving! There are many ways to give back to the students, teachers and programs of the Madeira City Schools.

In the past our donors have supported the new JTouch Interactive Whiteboards, the state-of-the-art fitness center, 11 student scholarships and the annual Day of Service.

Madeira bow ties are still for sale! These make great Grad gifts. All proceeds go to the Steve Kramer Scholarship Fund.

What is the Madeira Schools Foundation?
The MSF board members are a group of devoted parents, community members and alumni working to raise funds for the district. These funds have supported technology, the state-of-the-art fitness center, and twelve scholarships awarded to graduating seniors and one alumni currently in college to assist with the ability to continue their education.

The board is working on a strategic plan to increase awareness of these efforts and add new and exciting ways for you to get involved. Learn more about our board by visiting our web site.
