Help!  I've been arrested...for a great cause! And it is her 60th Birthday! All she wants to do is get out before the clock strikes 60!  

Wheelchairs 4 Kids provides wheelchairs, home and vehicle modifications as well as other assistive equipment for children with physical disabilities at no charge to their families. But they're throwing me in the clinker along with some of my best friends!  I'm a felon in their Jail and Bail Fundraiser.  The felons are raising funds to provide more children with the mobility equipment they so desperately need.

Crime: Bumping off the 50's

Madeline  aka "Miss Dee Meanor" is planning to kiss her 50's goodbye! She's ready to light the town on fire and kick off the 60's with a bang! Tampa Bay better watch out!
Her birthday is April 21st and she has a set deadline of April 20th for friends and foes alike to make her bail! If she doesn't get to her $3,000 goal, she plans to create havoc all over the Bay area, maybe even further!

Madeline is the founder and Executive Director of Wheelchairs 4 Kids. She is a tireless advocate for children with physical disabilities and strives to make life a little more comfortable and safer for them.

The only thing Madeline wants for this milestone birthday is bail money.  Please help her celebrate by making a donation today to help Madeline get out of jail. Ask your friends to donate too. Every donation will make a difference in a special child's life!

Wheelchairs 4 Kids Helping Children with Physical Disabilities

Many children faced with living with physical disabilities are in wheelchairs that are too small, in disrepair, or do not fit the needs of the child.  Medicaid and insurance programs generally only replace a chair every 5 years. Not only is it unsafe for a child to be in a chair that is inadequate for their needs, but it can impact their health in numerous ways including scoliosis, respiratory problems and pressure sores.

In addition, families are faced with trying to care for their special needs children in homes that have not been modified to meet their specific circumstances. Imagine trying to lift your teenager in and out of bed or a bathtub without assistive devices or a modified bathroom. We have installed roll in showers in homes because the parents were "showering" their teens in the back yard with a hose because they could no longer get them in and out of the tub safely.  We need you to help us help them!

Order in the court!  We are so honored to have Tampa Bay power couple, Steve and Julie Weintraub serve as honorary chairpersons of this fun event once again!.  

 

Tampa's biggest movers and shakers will be appearing before Judge Julie at Charley's Steak House on April 29th.  It is a closed event, but if you help bail me out, you can stop by and take a picture of me in my designer orange jumpsuit or striped shirt!

Meet Nevaeh
Meet five-year-old Nevaeh, who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and seizure disorder. Many of her challenges have improved, but she still suffers from frightening seizures and occasional moments without breathing. Nevaeh is also nonverbal and incapable of walking. 

Nevaeh is very active. She enjoys swimming at their local YMCA. She also loves Disney. The Magic Kingdom theme park makes her smile like her disability just disappeared. Nevaeh loves school, too. Her favorite subjects are music and art. She makes everybody feel great with her sweet personality. Meet Nevaeh, and find a little bit of Heaven.

Nevaeh needs a new wheelchair that is able to tilt. The tilt will help with her respiration.  She outgrew her old chair, which is currently unsafe and uncomfortable. Please help us help her by making a donation now!
