Charity Outing Update and Price Transparency

As we start planning the outing for next year, our 2nd with the Madison Reading Project (MRP), we did a course Request for Proposal (RFP) and solicited pricing from 6 local courses in partnership with MRP. We have heard the feedback that changing the location of the outing would be preferred by some members. Our membership is a diverse group of women, so it is unlikely we will find a location that all members are excited about but want to make sure you’re aware of the strides we have taken to look at other options. Of the 6 courses approached, 2 were already booked for 2026, 1 was removed as it’s the site of the Women's Golf Day outing, and the other 3 ranged in cost from $85 - $150 per golfer. This does not include the cost of food and beverage, extra cart rental cost, a donation amount to the charity, or other fees. If we selected the $150 per golfer location, the cost of the outing would need to dramatically increase. While the Board is still contemplating the location and the cost for 2026, we wanted to share this update to provide clarity on our options and challenges when organizing and pricing these events. Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to bring them forward to the Board.
