 Get to Know Your Neighbor
This Month's Featured Resident

Jake Baker is the owner of a new store in Madisonville called The Joinery. He and his wife moved to the neighborhood in 2015 and they bought a house a year later. They really enjoy what the neighborhood has to offer such as walkability and the friendliness of the community.

Jake really likes the  community  engagement and he enjoys that people will stop in to a new store to see what it has to offer. He hopes that  there will be more growth in the future within Madisonville. He wants to see people having more impactful conversations. Hopefully this will lead to more Madisonville residents opening up businesses.

One of the reasons Jake opened the Joinery, a business that specializes in frames, is that Madisonville has such a rich history, and people keep pictures of family members from past generation. Also, he likes that he can bike to work!

If you have any pictures that need to be framed, be sure to visit Jake at the Joinery - 4905 Whetsel Ave!

"Featured Resident" is a monthly installment focusing on people of interest - folks that our neighborhood should know about. They don't have to be heroes or celebrities, just individuals that contribute to making our community great.

We would like your nominations. The only limitation is that they live, work or have some sort of direct involvement in Madisonville. If you know of an outstanding Madisonville individual, please let us know by the 25th of each month. You can do so via email.

Madisonville Photowalk

Whether you're a seasoned photographer or just a beginner, you are invited to join Photocorps this Saturday, April 1 from 10:30 to noon for the Madisonville Photowalk.  Another walk will take place in June.

All ages are welcome. Meet at Lala's Blissful Bites , 5012 Madison Rd.  Bring your own camera. Camera phones or film cameras are ok too.
Opening Day on the Trails

Opening Day on the Trails is a national event that kicks off the outdoor season. You are encouraged to go outside and get on our community bike trails.

Come on out to Madisonville's own Little Duck Creek Trail on April 8, between noon and 3pm. Davey Tree will host a tree identification walk and the Cincinnati Museum Center will have activities. There will be refreshments, too.
