This is a team trivia event, with up to 10 people at a table. There will be a number of prizes as well as a 50/50 raffle, silent auction, heads/tails game, and shout out or roast

KMSD winds FOCUS ON ENERGY® 2023 Energy Efficiency Excellence Award

We Energies nominated the Kettle Moraine School District for this award based on a Focus on Energy Retro-commissioning Grant that Dale Zabel, Facility Services and Safety Director, had applied for. The intent was to confirm that all of the improvements made in 2015-17 to the HVAC systems throughout the district were performing at the specified levels that had originally been established for the project.

This award will allow the district to further improve our energy efficiency as well as the quality of our facilities. The grant was worth approximately $100,000 in energy investments. Great work Dale!

Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Teacher Fellows

Hilary Prokop and Barb Shaver were selected for this award and grant based on their skill as leaders and agents for positive change. The complete list of award recipients is posted at www.kohleducation.org under Press Releases.

KMMS/KMHS Student Artwork Displayed at WisconsinState Fair

The Young People's Art Exhibit (YPAE) is open to students in grades six through 12.

Ashtyn's work is one of several pieces currently being showcased by KM students. You can view the exhibit at State Fair Park. Congratulations Ashtyn!

KMSD receives CS100 Award for outstanding achievement in K-5 computer science education!

We are delighted to announce that the Kettle Moraine School District was approved for the inaugural CS100 Award for outstanding achievement in K-5 computer science education! We will receive an official CS100 Certificate and Website Badge and will move forward to compete for additional recognition at the CSK5 Summit.

Dousman Invention Convention

During February and March, Third Graders at Dousman Elementary created inventions through their understanding and application of the design process. Students were required to meet several deadlines and complete a variety of tasks such as conduct research, identify a problem, develop a solution, and construct a prototype. As a culminating event, every student brought their invention to school and presented it to their peers. Inventions were on display for families and the entire school community to explore and enjoy. Kudos to these innovators for creating inventions that make our lives easier, better, or simply more fun.

Jr. Laser Football Fall 2023

Registration is now open for Jr. Laser Football for the fall season. Anyone interested in playing flag football for grades K-4 and tackle football for grades 5-8 are encouraged to sign up. Registration deadline is April 7, but students can still join for an additional fee.

Fastpitch Softball

Interested in Fastpitch Softball? Did your daughter play T-Ball and is looking for more? Kettle Moraine Laser Fastpitch club is looking for additional players to complete their U8 team (born after December 31st 2013). If interested, please contact the community Education Office at 262-968-6273 x4641 for more information. Winter/indoor practices just started and the season runs April-August.

Jr. Laser Cheerleading

Interested in cheerleading in the fall? Students entering grades 6-8 in the fall are encouraged to sign up. Practices are twice per week July-October, with Saturday morning performances at local football games.

Girls Basketball Summer Camp

Girls currently in grades 3-8 are invited to participate in basketball camp June 12-15. This camp will focus on offensive/defensive fundamentals with plenty of competitions. KM Varsity Coaching staff and Varsity players will instruct campers in station work and one-on-one instruction. Grade is based on the 2022-23 school year. Each player will receive a free Laser Way Basketball Camp t-shirt. Campers should bring their own ball and a water bottle.

KM Wrestling Club

Join us Mondays/Wednesdays at the KM High School Wrestling Room. Grades from K-3 meet from 5:15-6pm. Grades 4-8 meet from 6-8pm. Sign up today to work with high school coaches and players in this great winter sport.
