We Are Magee! Proud as can be!

  • "We Are Magee" pride was for all to see at the Grand Canyon! Thank you Aushwitz family for sharing this with us! We hope you enjoyed your time out West!
  • "We Are Magee" pride is being shown throughout the United States.
  • If you are taking a vacation or venturing to a different place, show your "We Are Magee" pride. I will upload the pictures to our weekly newsletters.
Weekly Message from Principal Nies
Happy Friday Magee Families:

This week our 4th graders worked hard to clean-up the brush on the Magee campus as well as cleaning up the Genesee Depot community (some pictures above). This was what they were going to do on our very rainy Earth Day! Thank you volunteers, 4th graders, and Mr. Suhr for taking care of our community.

The sand is now officially in our sandbox! Click on the image below my signature to view the video our K5 students made informing us all on how to responsibly, respectfully, and safely use the sandbox that we have been given.

I wanted to share a few things with you that are in the works for next school year. These ideas have been created from parent feedback through surveys and conversations as well as from staff. These following ideas are in the developmental stages. I will share more details with you as we work on developing each idea.
  • Parent/Teacher Liaison
  • A parent volunteer who works with room parents, seeks feedback from parents and teachers, and shares feedback with the PTO and Principal.
  • Room Parents
  • Parent volunteers to help in the classroom with preparation, celebration planning, etc.
  • Parent/Family Advisory Group
  • I am working with Middle School Principal Comiskey to observe the middle school family advisory group and to develop this for Magee. More information to come.
  • This advisory group will work with the Principal to review engagement survey data, work on communications to families, and collaborate on action steps for school goals. (May include more).
  • Collaboration with our School Nurse to create a Safe Food List for classroom celebrations, etc.
  • This will be aligned with KMORR 2107 Student Wellness as well as USDA Smart Snacks in school nutrition standards.
  • 4K Forest will be running in the 4K PM session next school year.
  • Information about Wisconsin Youth Company providing wrap around care for our 4K forest students only at Magee will be coming out soon! (Check out some info below).
