Weekly Message from Principal Nies

Happy Friday Magee Families:

As the end of the school year approaches everything seems to happen so quickly! It is hard to believe that Wednesday is our last day of the 2021-2022 school year.

Thursday evening was a special evening for our 5th graders. After dismissal on Thursday, they jumped on to a bus and enjoyed an evening of fun at Springs Waterpark at the Ingleside Hotel. We received compliments all around from chaperones and the Ingleside as to how responsible, respectful, safe, and kind our 5th graders were at the waterpark.  Please see a group photo under the 5th grade section in this newsletter.

Today (Friday) was field day. We had so much fun at each and every field game.  We had special guests visit and participate with us - the KMHS Graduating Class of 2022 Magee Alumni.  They played 4-square, joined in during tug-of-war, and I believe I even saw some of them participate in the inflatable obstacle course.  Please enjoy some pictures of the field day events below. There are more videos and images on the Magee Elementary and Magee PTO Facebook pages. Thank you to Mr. Staver, Mrs. Jones, the PTO, and volunteers for the planning and joining in on the fun of field day.

Wednesday, June 8th, 2022 is our last day of school and it is a half day. Dismissal is at 12:35 PM.  Please see the schedule for the day below.  (I am hoping to have our whole school assembly broadcasted LIVE through Google Meets.  A link will be sent out to families Wednesday morning).

Finally, I have seen questions on Facebook about school supplies.  Please scroll down this newsletter to see information about next school year school supplies for K4 - 5th grade.  I have also included information about school supplies for 6th graders.

As always if you have any questions or would like to meet with me, schedule a time: Click Here to Schedule a Meeting with Me

Wishing you a restful and relaxing weekend.
