A CHANGE TO Dismissal/After School Pick Up
Be patient, Be kind, Have Grace
Thanks to you, we have really gotten good at our after school car pick up. We are getting through the line much quicker than before. With that being said, beginning on Monday, November 9 our car line will begin dismissal at 3:20PM instead of 3:15PM on regular days and at 2:50PM on Thursdays. This means that you are able to come a few minutes later than you are now to continuing to avoid the 3:10-3:20 time frame so our buses can all get in. This change also allows us to recoup 25 minutes per week of instruction.
Thank you for your cooperation and support!

How does the KMHS Campus move to Distance Learning impact Magee learners?
The KMHS Campus is moving to Distance Learning until Nov. 30.
Magee learners will continue to attend school as they normally do if they HEALTHY. If your KMHS student has symptoms, please keep your Magee learner, and all siblings, home, report the absence/symptoms to school(s) and contact your physician.
Please help us continue to remain face to face by continuing to physically distance outside of school, wearing masks when with those outside of your family, and washing hands often.
If you have questions, please contact Sue Sterner (sterners@kmsd.edu).

Updated Calendar
Please take a few moments to review the updated calendar approved at the 10/27/20 KMSD School Board Meeting.
HAPPY LAST DAY OF QUARANTINE!

Happy last day of quarantine to Ms. Thuilliez's 1/2 classroom! We have missed you at school and look forward to your return! You have all shown great resiliency (working hard with a smile through the hard work!) and flexible thinking. You even had some special guests - stink bugs!

Throughout the time at home, the class followed their in school schedule pretty closely. Learners had large group instruction and small group instruction.

This small group was all smiles on the last day!
What?
My Child is Quarantined?

When learners or a classroom are sent home to quarantine, this means they need to stay home, not go in public places, gymnastics, basketball, restaurants, playdates/sleepovers with classmates, visit extended family, etc.

Symptoms can develop ANYTIME within the 14 days or the learner can be asymptomatic and spread the virus without knowing it.

If learners develop symptoms while in quarantine, please contact your health care provider AND please notify Magee as soon as possible.

QUARANTINE 101 contains more information regarding learning during quarantine.
WISCONSIN WEATHER

Please help your children layer for the unpredictable
Wisconsin weather at this time of the year!

WHEN students leave home and the outdoor temperature is less than 50, they should be wearing something that covers their legs - leggings, pants, jeans, shorts/skirts with tights or leggings AND have AT LEAST two layers to wear outside. Hats and gloves are also important to send with your child.

Students are outside for a minimum of 30 minutes a day. In the event of a drill or emergency, students need to have enough clothing to be warm outside. It is easy to tie layers around their waist as opposed to being cold without enough to put on.

We are in for a stretch of up and down weather,
thank you for your support!!

Box Tops:

Congratulations to Mrs. LaRoque's 4/5 class for being the top Box Top collectors this fall... You've won a free extra recess! Have fun in this beautiful fall weather!

Keep collecting Box Top clips and scanning those receipts for our spring submission. Please note that ONLY the traditional (non-expired) Box Tops clips should be cut and turned in, with the product code and expiration date visible. Those that say "No More Clipping" can not be turned in, but should have the receipt scanned on the easy, user friendly Box Tops app.

MAGEE KINDNESS ROCKS

The Magee PTO has started a Kindness Rock Project. They will be creating and hiding rocks for families to hunt for. Look for them on Facebook at Magee Kindness Rocks. When families find them, there is a bin outside of the school office for students to bring them in. The rocks will be used to line the paths in the Butterfly Garden. What a great way to spread kindness and beautify our butterfly garden! Happy Hunting!
