In this edition of British Columbia Golf's newsletter you can see the latest version of Brad Ziemer's BC Golf notes including his interview with Delta's Amanda Minni whose Oregon State Beavers Women's Golf squad were one of the casualties in the controversial cancellation of the NCAA Regionals due to 'playable' but not 'championship quality' conditions.
Brad also spoke with Coquitlam golf professional Michael Caan about his exciting round of 59 at Meadow Gardens Golf Club in Pitt Meadows where Caan is a member - and his running leap into the pond (which has gone viral on social media) on the 18th hole once he knew the historic putt was going in.
In addition, we would like to bring your attention to a GoFundMe page that has been started to assist Master Superintendant Tim Kubash from Salmon Arm GC. Tim was involved in an accident that caused severe inury to his spine and is faced with a difficult recovery and potential loss of the use of his legs. The #TEAMKUBASH group led by other proud golf course superintendents are hoping anyone who can, is able to assist with the effort to help Tim in his rehabilitaion.
Enjoy your golf and please stay safe.
