Letter from the President Happy November! As the vibrant colors of autumn surround us, I am delighted to share the wonderful strides of the S.H.A.U.N. Foundation for Girls in this month’s newsletter. November marks a special time for gratitude and reflection and with all that is going on in the world today, I feel our work to empower girls to become the next generation’s change-makers is especially important. November was a milestone month for us because we passed the $100,000 mark for grants given! With your generous help, our work has had a ripple effect and helped hundreds of underserved and underrepresented girls and young women! The next big news is that we have announced the brand new Inaugural Board of Advisors! Please read about the 16 amazing, ROCKSTAR women who are lending their name to support our mission and advise us on how we can keep growing our platform. And, of course, GIVING TUESDAY is this month! This is the annual global day of giving to charities that are doing the work and changing the world for the better. I hope that you will consider continuing your support to the S.H.A.U.N. Chloe Porter Shatters Stigmas while Helping her Community 16-year-old Chloe Porter is breaking barriers associated with Down syndrome. She does so much for her community, including working for her local Congressman and raising over $100,000 for Memorial Hospital. Read more www.kget.com
