The Bastrop Youth Advisory Council is working on a special mural project on the wall of 1112 Main Street to promote downtown Bastrop and cultivate a connection to the community.

They are looking for artists to compete in the process!

The Bastrop Youth Advisory Council is a group of 12 students from Bastrop High School, Cedar Creek High School, and the Colorado River Collegiate Academy who are an advisory board to the Bastrop City Council.

Juneteenth Celebration

Saturday, June 18th

The event will begin with a parade starting at Bastrop High School from10am until noon. The street dance will begin at 7pm on Main Street from Chestnut Street to Farm Street as well as Spring Street.

Republic of Texas Motorcycle Rally

Today, June 9, the Republic of Texas Motorcycle Rally will be held in Bastrop County. We are excited to have this event nearby and want to be sure our community is aware of possible increases in traffic and motorcyclists on the road. Remember to #looktwiceformotorcycles and #sharetheroad. There are two organized rides that will pass through the city of Bastrop, see more details below.
