All signs are prohibited in the City Limits and the Extraterritorial unless constructed, maintained, structurally altered, or improved by a valid City permit and authorized under the City of Bastrop's B3 Code.

One nameplate per address limited to 3 square feet may be attached to a building wall within 10 feet of a principal entrance.
|
|
Nameplates can be either a panel or individual letters applied to a Building wall within 10 feet of an entrance to the Building. It shall not exceed 3 square feet and must be constructed of durable materials.

Today, November 12th and Tomorrow, November 13th, Grab the family or car lover in your life and head to the 15th Annual Heroes and Hot Rod's Veteran's Day Car Show weekend! The Bastrop Area Cruiser's Car Show is honoring American Veterans with its classic car display and Veteran's ceremony in Downtown Bastrop, TX. This event is FREE for spectators and open to the public.

Head over to the Bastrop Opera House for All in the Timing tonight, November 12th & Tomorrow the13th at 7:00 pm and November 14 at 2:30 pm.
This critically acclaimed, award-winning evening of comedies combines wit, intellect, satire and just plain fun. Featuring six diverse but equally hysterical one-act comedies, David Ives’ All in the Timing is a witty, romantic, absurd, and existentially-minded theatre experience.

Ribbon Cutting - Art Institute of Austin

Lets celebrate the Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting of the Art Institute of Austin in Bastrop, Texas! The ribbon cutting is November 17th 4:00 - 5:30 PM at 921 Main Street. The mission of The Art Institute of Austin is to provide a quality, collaborative academic environment for individuals seeking creative careers through higher education! Please join us to celebrate the Art Institute of Austin and take tours of their new downtown Bastrop facility.

LOST PINES CHRISTMAS PARADE PACKET
|
|
Bastrop’s fanciful, fantastic, fun—and even famous—annual Lost Pines Christmas Parade will light up the night skies as it makes its way down Main Street on Saturday, December 11th.
As in the past, there are no participation fees or pre-registration required; register as you arrive at check-in and line up for the parade, at the staging point on the north side of Bastrop High School.
Line up and registration begins at 4 p.m.; the parade begins to roll at 6 p.m. sharp!

The Main Street Advisory Board has been working on the rebranding of our city parking lots. Bastrop was named an inaugural Texas Bird City in 2020, so the board partnered with the Bird City Coalition to rename each parking lot after a native bird.
