Here is the first ever Mayor's State of the City Address, information about sign code enforcement, and a reminder to keep our dumpster areas clean. I've also included some upcoming events in the District. If you have any questions, please let me know.

STATE OF THE CITY The City of Bastrop presents Mayor Connie Schroeder's Inaugural State of the City Address for 2022! You'll find lots of interesting and useful information about what the City has been up to in the last year and details about current and future projects.

DUMPSTERS Please help keep our dumpster areas clean, and remind your staff to break down boxes and place them in the bins.

SIGN CODE ENFORCEMENT Consistent enforcement of Sign Code violations will begin on March 1, 2022. The Panning Department will have a Sign Code informational session on March 16, 2022 at Noon in the Council Chambers at City Hall to answer questions and provide resources on Signs. If you have any questions, contact the Planning Department: plan@cityofbastrop.org.

BASTROP COUNTY AFRICAN AMERICAN CULTURAL CENTER CELEBRATES BLACK HISTORY MONTH The Freedom Colonies Exhibit is located at the Kerr Center - top floor (1308 Walnut Street). The exhibit includes Charters of African American Service Organizations, displays of items used in African American culture, and many facts, artifacts, and contributions of the African American Community in Bastrop County. Exhibit will be open until February 27th. The Kerr Center is open: Saturday February 26 - 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Sunday February 27 from 2:00p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

SUPER FAMILY FUN NIGHT Looking for something the entire family can do together? Come to Family Fun Night the last Friday of each month (TONIGHT) at the City of Bastrop Recreation Center (1008 Water Street) from 6 PM to 7:30 PM. Its FREE!
