LOST PINES CHRISTMAS MEETING
|
|
The Main Street Advisory Board Lost Pines Christmas Committee meeting is on Wednesday, November 3rd at 5:30pm at City Hall. The board is looking for volunteers to help make Lost Pines Christmas Magical!!

|
All signs are prohibited in the City Limits and the Extraterritorial unless constructed, maintained, structurally altered, or improved by a valid City permit and authorized under the City of Bastrop's B3 Code.
|
|
- Signs in any public right-of-way
- Off-premise sign (including Billboards)
- Signs with lights that blink, fluctuate, or move
- Signs that can be confused with traffic control devices
- Signs attached to any utility pole or wire, traffic sign, or public easement or placed on government-owned property
- Signs that obstruct fire escapes, required exits, windows, or door opening intended as a means of egress
- Boxes, tires, or other goods stored in view of the street, etc. that have large product identification
- Commercial Signs or advertising materials that are worn, held, or attached to a person's body adverting the sale of goods, real property, or services

- Feather banners
- Balloon signs
- Inflatable Signs
- Pennants
- Poles signs other than along Hwy 71
- Roof Signs (including signs that are otherwise authorized but are placed on a roof or on a mobile food vendor or vehicle).
- Signs placed or attached to trees, brushes, planters, benches, or other pedestrian elements.
- Signs on trash receptacles except signs that are required by law, provide direction on the trash receptacle's use, provide safety instructions, or are otherwise customarily found on trash receptacle as a means of identifying the trash collection company
- Flags with a Commercial message

eCabs no longer operate as a CARTS Now service but will continue to serve the downtown Bastrop area.

Monday - Thursday 3 - 9 p.m.
Friday - Sunday 2 - 10 p.m.

Main Street America and GoDaddy are teaming up to provide digital empowerment to business owners around the U.S. Through Empower by GoDaddy, we equip entrepreneurs in communities with training, tools, and peer networks to help small businesses establish and improve an effective digital presence. There are two ways businesses can participate:

Each interested business will receive an individual invite with a username and password to get started with the learning platform.

Bastrop Fire Department along with the City of Bastrop will host the Bastrop Boo Bash drive thru trick-or-treat is this Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm in Mayfest Park. The event is free to the community and vendors.

On Friday, November 5th from 6-8ish, Main Event is having its First Friday Artwalk.
Join the Lost Pines Master Naturalists for a hands-on, brain-on bird experience - Why do birds have different beaks? This months theme is Sights & Sounds a mini music festival!

Market Days will be back on November 6th 10am until 5pm events in Downtown Bastrop. Shop local and support local artisans!

November 6, 2021 is the last fall movie in the park in Fisherman's Park. We're playing A Dog's Purpose, and the movie will begin when the sun goes down.
Grab the family and a blanket then head over to the park this from 6 pm until 9 pm. There will be oversized games, face painting, light concessions, and plenty of family fun.
Its Free to the community!

LOST PINES CHRISTMAS PARADE PACKET
|
|
Bastrop’s fanciful, fantastic, fun—and even famous—annual Lost Pines Christmas Parade will light up the night skies as it makes its way down Main Street on Saturday, December 11th.
As in the past, there are no participation fees or pre-registration required; register as you arrive at check-in and line up for the parade, at the staging point on the north side of Bastrop High School.
Line up and registration begins at 4 p.m.; the parade begins to roll at 6 p.m. sharp!

The Main Street Advisory Board has been working on the rebranding of our city parking lots. Bastrop was named an inaugural Texas Bird City in 2020, so the board partnered with the Bird City Coalition to rename each parking lot after a native bird.
