J.T. Gardnerville Basque Festival Weekend
Only three days until our outdoor dance on Friday night!
Friday, August 8th, 8:30 p.m. -- The J.T. will kick off the festival with our annual outdoor Basque dance. Accordion music by the Etchechurys (from the fabulous Fresno Santa Fe Basque Restaurant) and Jean Flesher!
To kick off the dance this year, we have a special treat! The Gardnerville Basque Dancers along with the Reno Basque Club Adult Dance Group will do a special performance to begin the dance. Oh...and the audience participation dances are fun, fun, fun! Kick up those heels and join us for the merry-making. It all starts at 8:30 p.m.
Sat, August 9 -- Basque Picnic at the CVIC Hall in Minden. Catholic mass at 11am, Lunch 1pm, Dance Performances 3pm, Evening dance 8pm
Sun. August 10 -- J.T. serving Basque Breakfast from 9:00 a.m. until noon.
Menu: Fried eggs or potato omelette, blood sausage, chorizo, ham, cheese, fruit, coffee, oj, and red wine - $12.00 per person.
Picon Punches and Kalimotxos will be flowing all weekend.
Also, be sure to try the latest, greatest Basque libation
invented right here at the J.T: The "Ama Zikina!" Tasty, tasty!!!
This only happens twice a year so don't miss it!

FARM-TO-FORK, NEVADA BORN CUISINE DINNER TICKETS NOW ON SALE Sunday, September 7th Don't miss this highlight of the summer in Carson Valley. Join us for a wonderful, Farm-to-Fork Harvest Dinner on the lawn at the Carson Valley Museum and Cultural Center in Gardnerville. Our community sponsors will provide fresh, delicious food prepared by a professional chef and served to your table in a delightful setting. Linens, candles and flowers-no paper plates or plastic-ware! You will want to bring your family, friends and neighbors for this one-of-a-kind event. No host bar at 4:30 p.m., with dinner served at 5:30 p.m. $50 for current DCHS members, $60 for non-members. Tables may be reserved for parties of six or more. Seating is limited--avoid disappointment by ordering yours early. Pick them up at the Carson Valley Museum and Cultural Center in Gardnerville, or you may order them by phone with a credit card 775-782-2555.
