These have been chosen from hundreds of applicants who subject their work to the jury. This is a most difficult task as this fair attracts the finest but only a limited number of spaces are available.
Summer Sidewalk Sales
August 15th - 17th
Charlevoix area merchants are pleased to once again offer hot summer deals at their annual end of summer sidewalk sales. Take advantage of substantial reductions on a variety of seasonal inventory that must go.

Merchants will be out in force with great sales to reduce inventories before the fall season. Shoppers will find great discounts on gift items, home decor, clothing, books, jewelry, accessories and more.

Hours may vary, but most merchants will be on the sidewalk from 9am to 6pm and inside after 6pm. So shop early for the best steals, deals and unbelievable savings.

Don’t miss the best bargains of the year on an array of quality merchandise at participating merchants located downtown Charlevoix and throughout the area.
Sponsor Feature
In 1977, Primerica was founded on a simple idea: Just do what's right. That concept remains at the heart of everything we do for Main Street families every day.

Primerica teaches people how money works, because a solid financial knowledge foundation is the key to making healthy money choices. We pioneered the "Buy Term and Invest the Difference" philosophy - a crusade which revolutionized the life insurance industry and the investment business. And from the beginning, we have offered term life insurance as part of our commitment to market only products that are right for the consumer. If you're like most people, you probably know little about personal finance. Perhaps you think long-term security is impossible on your income.

Contact District Leader Gary Stutzman to explore how, no matter what your income level, you can achieve financial security. You just have to take the time to learn a few simple principles about how money works. Gary has been an integral part of the Charlevoix arts community for years, as band director at Northwest Academy, Charlevoix High School, the Community band, and now as a proud supporter of Main Street’s “Live on the Lake” summer concert series. Gary is passionate about his current role as a financial educator with Primerica, offering services in Term Life Insurance and Investments & Savings. You can reach Gary at 616.554.7274 or click below to find further information on his website.
Business Spotlight
Mushroom House Tours
Edith Pair, owner of  Mushroom House Tours , started strictly with walking tours in 2009, but soon realized that she needed to be able to use transportation so customers could view ALL 28 houses. So in 2015, she purchased the first 6 seat GEM car and the tours sprung to life. The GEM tours became a success virtually overnight! You can find her based out of Elements Gallery at 211 Bridge Street or book your tour online  here .

We (Charlevoix Main Street - CMS) sat down with Edith. to talk about the business. Click the link below to read this month's blog feature!

Facade Grants
Applications are due August 1st!

The Facade Incentive Program, which helped to improve multiple downtown buildings by providing funding last year, is developed by the Design Committee of Charlevoix Main Street.

The grant program was created to encourage private investment in historic facades by providing financial incentives. Historically sensitive rehabilitation and dramatic improvement of facades in downtown Charlevoix will encourage good design that will serve as quality examples to preserve the architectural character that is distinctive to Charlevoix. By improving the appearance of the building facades, the Program helps to improve the economic vitality of the downtown.

Click here for more information on projects completed in 2017 & 2018 or to apply for your building.

The accomplishments mentioned earlier are only a few of the exciting things Main Street has been working on.
