Greetings Main Street Friends!

Main Street Leadville is gearing up to take advantage of the many opportunities that the Spring and Summer seasons bring. More residents venture out, larger numbers of visitors come to the area, and downtown bustles with activity. As we noted before, the Main Street Approach is a four point strategy--upcoming issues of the newsletter will take a look at each one and its importance for Leadville's growth and diversification. In the meantime, come out, enjoy the outdoors, shop locally, and, above all, be safe and stay healthy!

Leadville Main Street Team

Leadville MainStreet focuses on the assets, resources, and people of Leadville, preserving key cultural, historic properties; revitalizing commercial buildings; and adding outdoor features to create a sense of energy for Leadville's future! Planter Box Sponsorships along Harrison Avenue are still available! Businesses and individuals are invited to participate and we are pleased to share that 2021 sponsorships are available at the same cost as last year - $85.00! Please join us this year and put your name in front of others with laminated inserts on each box that will be filled with pops of color during the summer season.

The Planter Box Sponsorship may seem like a small step, but it does play a role in making downtown an attractive place to do business or just relax. Your efforts to help us make improvements to the Main Street are noticed and very much appreciated.

Sponsorships are filling up quickly, so secure your spot today!

...a little bit about Buchi Cafe Cubano

"Buchi Cafe Cubano was founded in 2008 in Denver, Colorado and our mission has remained the same ever since. We provide a laid back Cuban cafe experience by offering traditional Cuban coffee, pressed sandwiches and cocktails in a lively setting. In the summer of 2019, we opened a second location in Leadville, Colorado and quickly realized that we had found our forever home. Whether enjoying a café con leche with Cuban toast in the morning, or sipping a mojito with friends on the spacious patio, we hope you enjoy a little slice of Cuba here in beautiful downtown Leadville."

Lake County COVID Restrictions: Business Survey

Leadville/ Lake County has been using the COVID-19 Dial and framework since November 02, 2020. This found us moving between levels that became difficult to provide timely information as well as understanding of how it affected individual businesses.

Leadville/Lake County is looking for ways to balance priorities and ensure our businesses, as well as their staff, are part of the Responsible Reopening discussion with protection being a main focus. We are actively discussing what needs to happen now and in the future. The plan is to evaluate next steps by May 27, 2021 heading into the summer.

Please take the survey so we can gauge where there may be support or resources needed.
