*Special COVID Bulletin*
Last week, the LLCEDC send out a notice about heightened COVID precautions during this time. As a reminder...
Now is the time to stay vigilant, exercise caution, personal responsibility and seek testing if you have been exposed to COVID. Our neighbor Counties have record high COVID rates that are straining hospital services and staffing levels. Please continue to practice good hygiene: wear a mask, wash your hands, and practice social distancing. We know that it is your businesses decision to require masks and that it is a challenge to ask patrons to mask up but please consider your staff’s health and safety as well as your own. Masks are one of the best ways to slow the spread of the virus. Please consider using these resources to put on your businesses doors and other areas: Mask graphics in English and in Spanish.
Staffing challenges are real, however you and your staff should stay home if you are sick, with anything!
Getting vaccinated and boosted is the best way to protect yourself and others from illness, hospitalization or death from COVID-19.
Need a COVID vaccine or booster? Find vaccine providers here.
Get tested if you suspect exposure to COVID or you are experiencing COVID symptoms. If you test positive, please follow the CDC and CDPHE guidance:
A positive test result means that you have an infection and should isolate and inform your close contacts to avoid spreading disease to others.
- Report the test results using the test products procedures
- Inform your supervisor and public health
-
If you test positive for COVID-19 and never develop symptoms, day 1 is the day of your positive viral test (based on the date you were tested). If you develop symptoms after testing positive, your 5-day isolation period must start over. Day 1 is your first day of symptoms.
Thank you,
