Greetings Main Street Friends!
Increased activity downtown reminds us that the busy summer season is here! It
is also a good time to really look at our assets and try to imagine how first-time
visitors see Leadville. Keep your eyes open for ways in which we can improve and please let us know if you have ideas or suggestions.
The Main Street Approach identifies four forces that affect a downtown’s real
estate value. This week, we will look at Promotion.
Promotion is the work done toward creating “…a positive image of the
commercial district” through advertising, marketing, special events, and
promotional activities. Success will generate more interest and can translate into
more spending and more investing in the area. The positive vibes help to deepen
confidence in the downtown area and spur expansions and new business
ventures. Like the other three points that comprise the Main Street Approach, it is
important to focus on collaboration. Working together harnesses the talents and
contributions of individuals into a strong, cohesive team.
Promoting Leadville Main Street is the job of everyone. We can do this!
