Greetings Main Street Friends!

The Main Street program centers around a Transformation Strategy that is developed and embraced to meet a unique need(s) that residents have identified for their community. The Main Street Approach recommends implementation of activities organized around Four Points: Economic Vitality, Design, Promotion, and Organization. Newsletters in the coming months will look at these points and explore how they relate to Main Street Leadville.

Economic Vitality is ensuring that the work done on Main Street is comprehensive and totally driven by the community. Unlike other programs that may focus on one new building facade or parking spaces on a specific block, the plan must look at Leadville in a holistic way. By striving for connectivity, the results are more likely to make a greater impact and demonstrate that Leadville truly does have its own look and feel. It is important to have diversity and use innovation whenever possible to make a real difference. The old adage applies here that when first-time visitors arrive, residents have one chance to make a first impression. The plan is to have a Main Street that feels distinctive and offers reasons for repeat visits and longer stays. For residents, the vibrancy should be evident and reasons to be downtown should be numerous--an excitement will build so there will always be the feeling that someone new is ready to explore and enjoy in Leadville. After being downtown, there should be no doubt that Leadville is a great place to play, live, and do business!

We are pleased to announce that the 2021 Planter Box Sponsorships are officially SOLD OUT!

We will be in touch in the next week about flower box placement and placard verbiage.

The Planter Box Sponsorship may seem like a small step, but it does play a role in making downtown an attractive place to do business or just relax. Your efforts to help us make improvements to the Main Street are noticed and very much appreciated.
