2020 Year in Review
The year 2020 has been extraordinary. The best-laid plans have all been canceled or postponed worldwide due to the pandemic, yet life continues to move forward. As all businesses learn to pivot to maintain their bottom line, a new normal is emerging. Downtown commercial districts may be hard hit, yet, they are also poised to see substantial growth in the future as people embrace and utilize their downtown areas and want more options so they can stay closer to home and have something to be proud of.

Realizing that money spent local, stays local, residents want that traditional, safe hometown again. As we move into our third year as an accredited, Heritage Ohio Main Street Community, Main Street Ravenna has pivoted to maintain momentum in our revitalization efforts and mission. We are pleased to have made a positive economic impact on Ravenna in 2020 and a 22.59:1 Return on Investment for the City of Ravenna in a pandemic year!

In addition, our 2021 Executive Board has also been announced. They are: Todd Peetz, PC Regional Planning, President; Amy Adams, Retired from Community Action Council, Vice President; Maria Hydell, Portage Community Bank, Treasurer and Chelsea Gregor, City of Ravenna, Secretary.

As always, our mission is to:

“Celebrate and utilize downtown Ravenna, to establish a place where businesses thrive and people create moments together.”
