Lake Zurich Momentum Continues on Main Street

$4 Million Streetscape Project to Begin in 2025

Starting in 2025, the Village of Lake Zurich will invest $4 million in a new look along Main Street.

After repairing and replacing aging water mains, sanitary sewers and storm structures over the past two years, the Village will next rebuild Main Street from Lake to Church Streets.

The project design includes many of the elements identified by the ongoing update to the Lake Zurich Comprehensive Plan, including new landscaping, parking, sidewalks, crosswalks, seating and signage enhancements. 

The Main Street project achieves several Village objectives, tying together infrastructure upgrades, enhanced walkability and improved aesthetic appeal. 

The project is slated to go out to bid in January 2025, with construction running through the end of the year. 

The Main Street enhancements will be complemented by a similar streetscaping project along South Old Rand Road planned for 2026.
