3 Tips on How Agents Can Grow Social Media Connections

1. Consistent and Engaging Content: One of the most effective ways to grow your social media presence is by consistently posting valuable and engaging content. Share informative articles, tips for homebuyers or sellers, neighborhood spotlights, market updates, and visually appealing photos or videos of your listings.

2. Utilize Relevant Hashtags: Hashtags play a crucial role in increasing the visibility of your social media posts. Research and use relevant hashtags related to real estate, your local area, and popular trends.

3. Collaborate and Network: Building connections with other professionals and influencers in the real estate industry can significantly expand your social media reach. Engage with local businesses, mortgage brokers, home stagers, interior designers, and other related professionals by sharing their content, featuring their services, or collaborating on joint projects.

Do's and Don'ts of Remarks

In order to keep our database an accurate resource for all users, Maine Listings has rules and regulations regarding data entry. Today, let’s discuss agent/agency promotion.

Do: Use the Remarks field to accurately describe your listing. Promote the many features of the property – be descriptive! Want to promote yourself? Use the Advertising Remarks field to promote your contact information!

Don’t: Agent/Agency promotion is not allowed in the remarks or the open house comments. For example: in the Remarks field, you cannot display your name or the name of your agency. This also includes phone numbers, email addresses, URLs, etc.. Don’t forget this applies to photos, as well. The policy does not allow for any branding or company/agent signs to be included in your photos.
