FirstPark to Sponsor Greenlight Maine College Series
Business park looks to attract entrepreneurs and businesses
OAKLAND, Maine - FirstPark has announced the business park will sponsor the television show Greenlight Maine as part of its marketing strategy to attract Maine's top entrepreneurs and business leaders to FirstPark.

The $15,000 sponsorship includes the production of a 30-second television ad about FirstPark that will run on the Greenlight Maine Collegiate Challenge for all eight episodes.

The show season premiere will air on Jan. 19 and seven other Sundays on NEWSCENTER Maine at 10 a.m. All episodes will also be available on YouTube and As part of the partnership, FirstPark will be included in several social media posts and marketing materials about the Greenlight Maine Collegiate Challenge. Jim Dinkle, executive director of FirstPark, will also be interviewed on the season premiere of the show.

"We are proud to partner with FirstPark for the Collegiate Challenge. The business park's close location to Thomas College and Colby College makes this a perfect fit. Jim is passionate about supporting Maine's next generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs and we are very excited about this new sponsorship. We see it as a win-win for Maine's economy," said Julene Gervais, host of Greenlight Maine.

The decision by FirstPark's executive board to sponsor the show was based on the business park's three-year strategic marketing plan to increase visibility to entrepreneurs, and business leaders, and attract site selectors and new tenants to the park.

"We feel the sponsorship of Greenlight Maine is the perfect way for us to support local Maine students and entrepreneurs. This is also a great opportunity for us to reach business leaders and entrepreneurs that would be interested in locating to FirstPark. Located near three colleges, we feel strongly that this sponsorship aligns well with our brand and will raise awareness of our business park to Greenlight Maine's nearly 40,000 viewers who watch each week," said Dinkle.

FirstPark is currently home to T-Mobile and several other businesses ranging from accounting services to medical offices. FirstPark was established by the Kennebec Valley Regional Development Authority, which represents 24 communities. The attributes that make the park attractive to entrepreneurs and business owners include shovel-ready lots, protective covenants, innovative technology and infrastructure. The park's real estate options include high-speed fiber and pre-permitted sites that have the park poised for growth in the next three years.

In 2020, the park is expected to make more investments, including increased marketing, exploration of residential options, connecting with the Messalonskee Trail and creating a dog park, all designed to attract more interest in the large 285-acre campus.
