Statement from OEI CEO, Christine Vincent:
"I think we can all take a collective sigh of relief that this tragic event is now in the rearview mirror. Whether you were directly or indirectly connected to any of the victims, the wounded, or their families, we were all affected by the loss of our sense of safety living in ME. Even though the worst is past I wanted to remind everyone to check in with those who may be struggling, be kind, and use the resources available both at OEI and the larger state should you need professional guidance. This is unchartered territory for us all and we will need to lean on each other to get through it. Thanks again to those employees who kept things going over the past several days. We have an amazing team of dedicated individuals who never cease to amaze me during times of crisis. Stay safe and reach out if you need anything, Chris"

* There are many resources available for those who feel the need to speak to someone. Our insurance carrier provides a confidential, 24/7 EAP. The state of ME also has 2 crisis lines: 1-888-568-1112 or 988 if that would be helpful. Please check in with each other, be kind, and reach out if you need support.
