Happy New Year to you and your family! As the year ends we want to take a moment to reflect on the past year and be thankful for the support of our team of employees who did not waiver in their commitment to providing quality support services each and every day. Our direct support employees are the backbone of this organization and it is obvious to us that this is more than a job for them. We have seen services provided with compassion and often self-sacrifice. We wouldn't be here without them! We couldn’t be more proud of the culture we have created at OEI with kindness at the core of all we do. With a grateful heart, we enter 2023 with pride for the employees we consider family and look forward to what this next year will bring! Cheers to another great year!
OEI Annual Office Holiday Party 2022 @ Maple Hill Farm Inn
On December 13th, we held our annual OEI Holiday Party @ Maple Hill Farm Inn And Conference Center in Hallowell. This year, we were blessed to gather all together in person, ugly sweaters and all. We shared a wonderful meal and played OEI's version of "Family Feud," a game that was so entertaining, it will surely make an appearance at holiday parties to come! It was a night of appreciation for each other and the strong and compassionate company "family" that we are all so very proud to be a part of.
Christmas At The Farm 2022 was held on December 2nd. What an amazing event! Thanks to everyone that helped and joined us for a night to remember! Check out the video slideshow below for all of the highlights.

Employee Highlight
This month we would like to highlight Dolly Tripp. Dolly works as a Residential Direct Support Professional in our Lewiston/ Auburn Region. To say Dolly goes above and beyond each and every day would be an understatement. She is always the first to jump in and help out as needed without hesitation. Dolly is both caring and compassionate while still being a fierce advocate for the individuals she supports. She betters the lives of those around her. For these reasons, she was also nominated by her team as,“Employee Of The Year For Webber, Nash, and Mark”.Dolly, we thank you for just being you! You make a difference every single day.
Kindness Activity
We are very proud of our 2022 kindness activities and even more proud of all the individuals who helped make these acts of kindness possible. Without our team members' generosity and commitment to help organize these activities, we would not have been able to spread joy to the many we were able to reach in 2022. We can’t wait to see what 2023 brings! A big thank you to our team and many community partners who helped us continue our mission of spreading kindness. For the month of January, we will kick off the new year and continue our kindness activity with the 3rd annual sock donation drive.
December Recap:
Last month, OEI chose to spread kindness using candy cane grams and Christmas Carols! We passed out candy canes and good wishes wherever we went out in our local communities!
It was a great way to share the love and meet new people!
