Who We Are

Rising Stars Farm is a program of Opportunity Enterprises and was opened in 2017 to provide a therapeutic center for children and adults with disabilities or everyday challenges. The purpose of the program is to provide physical, psychological, and social rehabilitation to individuals with disabilities and veterans through our farming, animal, and equine programs. Our goal is to enhance the lives of the individuals and animals we serve. Our animals are rescued from various sources and therefore benefit from being a part of the farm.

Mission: Rising Stars Therapeutic Farm strives to unite animals and humans to build a bond

that is healing, therapeutic, and promotes growth and success.

Arena Install 2021

We are thrilled to announce the completion of our newly constructed arena! This new heated space will now allow us to offer year-round riding despite any inclement weather Maine so often throws our way. We have lots of plans for utilizing this new space and can’t wait to share with you all of the exciting happenings at Rising Stars Therapeutic Farm in the months and years to come! Stay tuned for information on the open house we plan to host as soon as it is safe to do so!

COVID-19 update:

Vaccine Clinic

On January 14, 2021,OEI hosted our first COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic. The day went off without a hitch,and we would like to thank all involved in the coordination of this very important day. We would also like to thank the team from CVS in Waterville for being extremely well organized and professional throughout this process. We are beyond grateful that we were able to offer this safe and effective vaccine to the folks we support and our frontline employees. Our second dose will be administered on February 4^th. We wanted to share some photos from a day that left us all feeling stronger in our fight against this pandemic. We are all in this together and together we are stronger.

OEI Kindness

Did you know?

Each month at OEI we choose a different Kindness Activity as a way of giving back to our communities.

In January we hosted our 2^nd Annual Sock Drive.

All gathered donations will be distributed to local homeless shelters and youth-at-risk organizations. We are thrilled to announce that our team of committed employees were able to collect over 800 pairs of new socks!

Thank you to all who contributed!

In February we will take part in "The Caring Card Project" by handcrafting Valentine cards to distribute to those who have been isolated during the pandemic.
