Spin Direction: Summer vs. Winter
DID YOU KNOW??
Ceiling fans have a simple switch that reverses the direction of rotation from clockwise to counterclockwise. This small adjustment can improve airflow, cut down your heating or cooling bill, and make you feel more comfortable.
The fan direction in summer should be counterclockwise to create a downdraft, providing a direct, cooling breeze. Your fan direction in winter needs to be clockwise to create an updraft and circulate warm air around the room. Depending on the fan, this switch could be up/down or left/right.
