Dear Guerin Catholic Community,
Guerin Catholic High School and the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana are excited to announce we’ll be breaking ground on a new Fine Arts and Wellness Center, a 61,000 sq. ft. addition to the school! As you know, the anchors of the project include a 500-seat auditorium and a two-court athletic fieldhouse. Other features include locker rooms for outdoor sports, a new weight room, fine arts offices, and classroom space. The project will complete the original master plan for the campus. We are VERY excited to get started!
This incredible achievement was made possible thanks to years of work, done primarily by the dedicated group making up the Capital Campaign Leadership Committee and the Guerin Catholic Advancement Team, led by Lori Norris. And of course, it would not be possible without the generosity of so many supportive benefactors!
To date, we have raised $22.2M toward the construction cost of $26M. While there is more work to be done – and more money to be raised – we are confident the reality of construction taking place will elicit the motivation needed to generate those additional funds.
Bishop Timothy L. Doherty, Bishop Emeritus William L. Higi, & Noblesville Mayor Chris Jensen will joining GC students for a ceremonial groundbreaking on September 6 at 9:45 a.m.*
*Due to space constraints, this is an invitation-only event.
The actual groundbreaking – fencing going up and heavy equipment moving in – will begin the following week.
This announcement is made with humble gratitude. There are so many people that came together to make this longtime dream come true.
THANK YOU, Guerin Catholic community!
St. Theodore Guerin, pray for us!
