Mid-Year Impact Report
Thanks to support from people like you, HomeAid Atlanta's year is shaping up to make a huge positive impact for famililes and individuals experiencing homelessness and the organizations that serve them. “This is likely to be our largest impact to date, both financially and in the lives our volunteers and our neighbors in need,” said HomeAid Atlanta Executive Director Mandy Crater.
  • In the first half of 2023, HomeAid Atlanta saved homeless service providers $213,529 via Care Days and construction projects.
  • Seven projects in progress will add 57 beds for people experiencing homelessness.
  • Seven Care Days have been completed.
  • Volunteers served over 1,360 hours in support of HomeAid's projects & community engagement initiatives.
  • More than 230 volunteers joined construction projects, Care Days, and the Essentials Drive, and packed CareKits.
  • Over 200,000 baby items were collected and distributed to young families in need.
  • 1,000 CareKits were packed by volunteers for people experiencing homelessness.
HomeAid & Lennar Complete Gwinnett Homeowner Resource Center

HomeAid Cares for Hall County's Gateway
HomeAid Atlanta recently wrapped up work on a new 28,000 sq. ft. facility adding 55 beds at Hall County's Gateway Domestic Violence Center. HomeAid assisted with construction by providing building materials, appliances, interior design services, and more. Together, the following companies and individuals donated nearly $75,000 worth of in-kind donations in support of the project:

Following the completion of the new building, HomeAid got to work on the grounds. On June 2, approximately 30 David Weekley Homes employees (photos above) volunteered at a HomeAid Care Day to kick off an extensive landscaping project at the site.

Care Day at Women's Resource Center
On June 16, HomeAid volunteers from the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association Young Professionals Group, HB NEXT, and BOMA Georgia (Building Owners and Managers Association of Georgia) joined a HomeAid Care Day at the Women's Resource Center to End Domestic Violence. The Women's Resource Center strives to meet the immediate and long-term needs of the diverse community of battered women and their children with programs that promote safety, compassion, connection, advocacy, and prevention.
