100th V-37

Fresh off the production line, we present the 100th V-37 – a major achievement for Valhalla Boatworks (VBW). A Viking Yachts Company subsidiary, VBW was launched less than five years ago with the announcement of the first three V Series models – the V-33, V-37 and V-41.

“All of us at Viking Mullica are very proud of reaching this milestone, and we will soon be hitting the 100th boat delivery for the V-33 and V-41 as well,” says Viking Mullica General Manager John Leek IV. “To be able to maintain steady production of each model since their debut has been a success not just for sales, but also for production. Building the V-37 so consistently has allowed our boatbuilders to hone their skills and become the best they can be.”

The game-changing V Series high-performance luxury center consoles made their premiere at Viking’s Dealer Meeting in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in September of 2019. Since then, the V Series has seen tremendous growth, with the addition of the V-46 and the V-55. This V-37 sports a beautiful Buc Blue gelcoat, a faux teak toe rail and transom and is powered by triple 400-hp Mercury 5.7-liter V10 Verado outboards.

The V Series center consoles are known for their meticulous fit and finish, straightforward deck layouts that maximize access and safety, and their ability to be outfitted with equipment and features – for both fishing and day cruising – that fully satisfy the owner’s wants and desires. Hull No. 100 is headed to south Florida, where owners Alan and Nancy Bryson will use the boat for family fishing and cruising, including an occasional run down to the Keys. Above: The V-37’s 56-gallon live well, wide-open cockpit, aft-facing mezzanine seating (with optional refrigeration), port-side dive door and hardtop that includes a six-rod rocket launcher.

Fold-down transom seats provide additional seating in the cockpit. Two in-deck fish boxes flank the lazarette and Seakeeper hatches. The engine cowlings’ accent panels have been painted to match the hull color.

Moving forward, we see that the underside of the hardtop also matches the hull, and the boat is appointed with a trio of Release Marine teak helm chairs with electric slides and flip-up bolsters.

The helm layout is clean, straightforward and operator-friendly, featuring a teak helm pod and a pair of Multi-Function Displays flush-mounted in the dash’s recessed black acrylic panel.

From bow to stern, you’ll find an effective balance of comfort and fishability. Integrated into the console, the forward lounge holds a cooler (or optional live well, which this owner chose) forward and dry storage aft. Rod holders are conveniently flush-mounted in the lounge and coaming. The upholstery features Diamond/Bentley stitching. The toekick space around the lounge and forward seating add to overall safety on deck.

“Hitting this milestone also says so much about the popularity of the V-37 in the marketplace and should propel the model’s future success,” adds John. “I’m already looking forward to the next 100!”
