Governor's Race Headed to a Runoff

Saturday's elections again showed the pro-life dedication of Louisiana voters. While some states may be in danger of slipping from their pro-life commitment, we stand strong. Pro-life majorities remain in both the State House and Senate!

In our State Senate, 67% of those elected already have a 100% pro-life record over the past four years or have answered our questionnaire 100% pro-life. In the House, that number is at 61%, and it will likely will increase after the runoff election on Nov. 16.

In the governor's race, we have a runoff between Gov. John Bel Edwards and Mr. Eddie Rispone. Click to see our overview of the candidates from the pro-life perspective . We applaud Congressman Ralph Abraham for his hard fought race, and we look forward to continuing to work with him in Congress.

We Need Volunteers to Help Man Our Booth

at the State Fair of Louisiana, Starting Soon!

Can you volunteer to spend time with us in our booth at the State Fair of Louisiana in Shreveport? We need you to help us share the beauty of life and the injustice of abortion to the thousands of visitors who will visit the fair's commercial building. This will be our second year at the fair, and we are looking forward to another successful outreach event! The fair begins next week on Thursday, Oct. 24 and continues through Sunday, Nov. 10.

Students: Next PULSE Immersion Weekend is Next Month at Dry Creek Baptist Camp

High school and college students, now is the time to grow in Pro-Life Leadership! The next PULSE Immersion Weekend is a month away – Nov. 22-24 – in Southwest Louisiana at Dry Creek Baptist Camp.

Students will have the opportunity to sharpen pro-life knowledge and persuasion skills, discuss effective activism and other pro-life topics, hear beautiful testimonies, and hang out with fellow passionate pro-life students from all over the state!

In early 2020, Louisiana will be at the U.S. Supreme Court defending its 2014 law requiring abortion businesses to have admitting privileges at a local hospital, just like all other outpatient surgical facilities. Actor and producer Kirk Cameron, a passionate pro-life and pro-adoption advocate, will be the keynote speaker at the Proudly Pro-Life Gala on Jan. 18, 2020, in downtown New Orleans as we celebrate 50 years of helping mothers and defending life. Chers Bébés: Acadiana's Soirée for Life, is set for next Thursday, Oct. 24 at Cathedral Hall in Lafayette, and sponsorships are still available. The sixth annual event will feature speaker Claire Culwell, who survived the abortion that took the life of her twin brother. It is sponsored by Acadiana Right to Life and Louisiana Right to Life and benefits the Dr. Zerben Bienvenu and Dr. William Smith Fund for Acadiana Pro-Life Education.

70 percent of Louisianians are pro-life – so it should be easy to pass the Love Life Constitutional Amendment on Nov. 3, 2020! But we must make sure that all our pro-life people are aware and show up to vote. Dedicated volunteers are necessary to make this happen in each part of the state.
