Coolidge now has majority support of Gridley City Council.
Andrew Coolidge, the former Mayor of Chico and candidate for Assembly District 3, has announced he has received the endorsement of Gridley Vice Mayor Bruce Johnson and Councilmember James Roberts. They join Mayor Mike Farr with their endorsement of Coolidge.
In appreciation of the support, Coolidge responded, “Gridley is an important part of our Assembly District 3 community, and I am honored to have the support of two of its finest leaders, Vice Mayor Bruce Johnson and Councilmember James Roberts. With a little more than seven months remaining until the primary, our momentum continues to grow as more and more leaders across the North State join our team and stand up for common sense leadership in Sacramento."
Johnson and Roberts join a long and growing list of local leaders in Assembly District 3 endorsing Coolidge for Assembly, including Gridley Mayor Mike Farr and eight other Mayors across the district.
Coolidge is the former Mayor of Chico (four years), a former councilmember (four years), and served the community in a wide range of leadership roles prior to taking a seat on the Chico City Council. He has also run a successful business in the district for the last 32 years and is a lifelong resident of the district.
Coolidge is running for the Assembly District 3 seat currently held by Assemblyman James Gallagher, who is not running for in due to term limits. The primary election will be held on June 2nd, 2026
