A hospital stay for a child is a hard thing. In Linden’s case, his parents took turns being by his bedside while the six-year-old endured four months of treatments for lymphoma. Linden’s treatment also meant time away from his sister, Keira. After all of that, Linden’s granted wish to go to Disneyland represented more than just a fun opportunity to enjoy the California sunshine, rides and storybook characters. His wish was a chance for his family to be together. Adding to the magic, Linden was given the honour of opening the gates to the park for the day, as Mickey Mouse himself looked on! Thank you to the BlueShore Mother’s Day Run Vancouver participants and organizers for granting Linden’s wish! Linden’s memories of unlocking Disneyland and spending much needed time with his family during a week at the park will last a lifetime!

Start your Mother’s Day right with fitness and fun in spectacular Stanley Park! The BlueShore Financial Mother’s Day Run presented by The Westin Bayshore consists of beautiful 10k, 5k and 3k Run and Walk courses in Stanley Park and Coal Harbour on May 10 th . The event is for everyone whether you are an experienced runner or want to join us for a walk - you can participate for fun, family, fitness or for time. All participants will receive an amazing souvenir technical run shirt and a great race bag filled with goodies.
