Dear Friends,
RWF serves the needs of people worldwide with humanitarian aid to those affected by hunger, poverty, disease, oppression and war, and natural disasters. Since our founding in 2000, RWF has distributed over $4.5 million in aid.
RWF provided aid to the migrant farmers in Northern California recovering from fires.
As you know, 2017 saw an unprecedented number of natural disasters and RWF's all-volunteer staff responded with fund raising, awareness initiatives, and partnering with local organizations to get aid directly to those in need.
Although the earthquakes, hurricanes and fires are no longer in the headlines the destruction they wrought is ever-present for the people living in the areas they hit. The serious, long-term work of rebuilding is just getting started.
RWF volunteers delivered supplies in Oaxaca, Mexico to earthquake survivors.
In Puerto Rico, where communication links remain down, we are reaching out to the LGBTQ communities in Mayaguez and Rio Piedras to assess their needs. RWF is working locally with Casa del CariƱo in Matanzas, Cuba; with Casa de Kids in Oaxaca, Mexico; with Coai and the Metropolitan Community Churches in Puerto Rico; with Feeding American in Huston, TX; with the Undocufund in Northern California.
RWF supports ongoing projects around the world that help children and families in need.
Equally important to our disaster response is RWF's long-term commitment to vital projects related to hunger, poverty, disease, and oppression - you can find details of these projects on our website.
In Solidarity,

J eff Cotter,
Executive Director
