Going Circular explores an innovative concept known as circularity, an economic system that reimagines how we create, use, and reuse the world’s resources. Instead of the traditional take, make, waste model that dominates modern industry, circular thinking asks a simple but transformative question. What if everything we produce were designed to live in a continuous cycle of renewal?
The film follows four visionary thinkers whose groundbreaking work is helping redefine the future of our economy and our planet. Among them is renowned scientist and inventor Dr. James Lovelock, the 102 year old creator of the Gaia theory, whose ideas reshaped how humanity understands the Earth as a living system. The film also introduces biomimicry pioneer Janine Benyus, designer and sustainability innovator Arthur Huang, and financial reform advocate John Fullerton.
Through their stories, Going Circular invites audiences to rethink the way our food systems, cities, financial structures, and industries could function if they were designed to operate within the natural limits of our planet.
