The Accessibility & Disability Inclusion Committee, a new
committee under the Greater Concord Chamber of
Commerce, will meet again in August!
Suzie Scher, of @scherspaces, will give a presentation on
"Defining Accessibility."
This presentation will define
accessibility as it relates to physical spaces. We'll discuss
the history of accessibility and the Americans with Disabilities Act as well as the difference between the two.
Universal design will be defined and the 7 principles will
be summarized. The impacts of accessibility to businesses
will be shared as well as examples of improvements for
participants to consider for their spaces.
We invite all active members of the Concord Chamber who
share our passion for inclusion and accessibility to join our
group, and we look forward to collaborating with you to
make our community an even better place for all.
