Trail tips
Park hours
Starting March 1, all Regional Parks shift to spring hours (6 a.m. to 9 p.m.). Some parking lot gates remain closed until March 31 and on-street parking may be limited. Do not park in front of gates as it blocks emergency access. Plan your park visit with information from the Park and trail directory.

Freeze and thaw
As we enter the transition season with freeze and thaw, park outings are much easier with the right tools. Poles and traction aides can help where seasonal trail conditions are difficult. If you've never tried adding traction devices to your footwear, we loan them to program participants (if the conditions call for them). Join a group hike and give them a try!
Park planning
Have your say...
What should Kalamoir Regional Park look like in 2042? Central Okanagan residents are invited to help the RDCO draft a new plan to guide the management of this waterfront park. You have until March 15 to complete the survey, describe how you use the park and share your thoughts on what priorities should be for this new park management plan.

Stay tuned in the coming weeks if you're interested in contributing to the Rose Valley Regional Park management plan.

Visit yoursay.rdco.com to get involved.

Gellatly Nut Farm Society donation
Congratulations (again!) to the Gellatly Nut Farm Society for being selected for a $5000 donation. The West Kelowna branch of Western Financial Group choose to support the non-profit society after donating around $900 in December. The funds will support restoration and maintenance of heritage buildings in the park. Thank you so much for contributing to conservation efforts in Gellatly Nut Farm Regional Park!
